Betty Lou Buckner, a 59 year old resident of McLeansboro, Illinois passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
She was born in Eldorado, Ill, on December 17, 1956 to Ralph and Maude (Wheeler) Wheeler. She worked in the Housekeeping Department at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital up until the time of her passing.
She is survived by one daughter; Christina Buckner of Carmi, Ill, three brothers; Nick Wheeler of McLeansboro, Ill, Gary (Vicky) Wheeler of McLeansboro, Ill, and Wade (Barbara) Wheeler of Mcleansboro, Ill. Three sisters; Carolyn (Amos) Draper of McLeansboro, Ill, Nancy Jo Wheeler of Mt. Morris, Ill, and Barbara (companion Mike Simmons) Curtis of Wayne City, Ill. Betty is also survived by eight nieces, three nephews, several great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services for Betty Lou Buckner will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Visitation will run from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
