Emery F. Seel

Emery F. Seel, 86, a resident of Nashville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at his home.  He was born September 18, 1930, in Jefferson County, Illinois to Emery and Juanita (King) Seel.  He was married to Angela Aydt who preceded him in death.
 

He was a retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier and was also a veteran of the Korean War where he served as a U.S. Marine.
 

He is survived by two sons; Harry (Debbie) Seel of Henderson, Ky, Howard (Margarita) Seel of Lebanon, In.  One daughter; Darlene (Thomas) Liszewski of Nashville, IL.  A step-son; Melvin (Dorothy) Heil of Dahlgren, IL and a half sister; Zoe Ellen Maxwell of Indianapolis, In.  Five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and one step-great great grandchild also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one step-infant daughter and two sisters.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 18, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Piopolis, IL with Msg. Joseph Lawler conducting the funeral Mass.  Visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Piopolis with graveside military rites carried out by the McLeansboro American Legion Post #106.
