John Dale Brown

John Dale Brown, age 87, of Cadiz, Kentucky passed away at 5:08 am on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

John Dale Brown was born April 2nd, 1929 in North Platte, Nebraska to his parents John Henry & Della Marie (Grimes) Brown.

He worked in the Forestry Division  for the City of Highland Park, Illinois  and was a United States Army Veteran.  He was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Batesville, Arkansas, The Belle Rive-Opdyke Masonic Lodge, The National Rifle Association, and the Spoon Pluggers of America.

He was preceded in death by both parents, and 1 grandson Jason Brown.

Survivors include his wife Edith Brown of Cadiz, Kentucky, a son James M. (Mike) and wife Joyce Brown of Belle Rive, Illinois, a daughter Jatta Marie (husband John) Hironimus of Cadiz, Kentucky, grandchildren:  Brian (wife Olivia) Cashmore of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Richie Cashmore of Gurnee, Illinois, Joy (husband John) Owens of Belle Rive, Illinois and Justin Brown of Tuscon, Arizona, great grandchildren: Cecile Cashmore, Chloe Cashmore, Courtney Owens and Jasmyne Owens, and a step-sister Margaret Peterson of Branch, Michigan.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 19th, 2016 at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren, Illinois with Masonic Rites at 7:30 pm.

Funeral services for John Dale Brown  will be held on Saturday, August 20th,  2016 at 2:00 pm at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with Rev. Lloyd Whittaker officiating.

Burial will be at the Flint-Belle Rive Cemetery in Belle Rive, Illinois.
