Betty L. Drew, 82, a resident of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Hamilton Memorial Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born January 31, 1936 in Puxico, Missouri, the daughter of Homer and Eva Mae (McDaniel) Tedford. Betty married Marion Drew on July 3, 1954 and he preceded her in death. In life she worked as a seamstress for the former Elder Mfg. Company in McLeansboro and was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by her children, Richard (Julie) Drew and Janet (Danny “Flash”) Flannigan, all of McLeansboro; five grandchildren: Marlene (Mike) Cunico of Mascoutah, IL, Pauline Drew (fiancé Adam Tate) of Eldorado, IL, David Drew of McLeansboro, IL, Samantha (Johnathon) Lewis of West Frankfort, IL and Seanpaul Flannigan of McLeansboro, IL; four great grandchildren, Zane Lewis, Marcie and Mayla Cunico, and Maverick Tate; and two sisters: Alice Springer of Pawnee, IL and Sue Tedford of McLeansboro, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great grandchild, Eason Inboden; two brothers: Homer Tedford Jr. and Charles Robert Tedford; and one sister, Ann Marks.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blooming Grove Cemetery will Pastor Jacob Gray officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to SSM Hospice and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
