Danny R. Karnes

Danny R. Karnes, 65, a resident of Broughton, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, IL.

He was born October 22, 1954 in Gary, IN, the son of Elmer and Genevia (Hunt) Karnes.  Danny was a assembly line operator for the Ligma Company in Nashville, IL.  He married Karla Karnes and later was married to Sandy Browder who preceded him in death.

Danny is survived by four sons: Nathan Tyke Karnes of Marion, IL, Danny Ray Karnes of Townsend, TN, Brian “Bam Bam” Karnes of Marion, IL and Willie Browder of Sesser, IL; four daughters: Lisa Browder of West Frankfort, IL, Glenda Sue Browder of Sesser, IL, Mitzi Browder of Mt. Vernon, IL and Kristy Akin of Benton, IL; four brothers: Michael (Connie) Karnes of Broughton, IL, Kenneth Karnes of McLeansboro, IL, Ronald Karnes of Valparaiso, IN and Rusty Karnes of Raeford, NC; one sister, Sharon Nisson of South Bend, IN.  Several grandchildren including Brian Karnes II whom he raised and several great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sandy Browder, one brother and one sister.

No formal funeral services are to be held at this time.
