Julia Ann (Poore) Metheney

Julia Ann Metheney, age 80, a resident of McLeansboro, IL passed away at 9:52 am on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 at her home.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Macedonia Eastern Star.

She is survived by three sons:  Mark Eugene Balliet of McLeansboro, IL; William Leo Balliet of
Meridian, MS; Mark (wife Pam) Metheney of Mt Vernon, IL;  five daughters:  Diane Linda (husbsnd Bob) Baczik of San Francisco, CA; Patricia Lee Vaughn of Petal, MS, Teri Lee (husband Mike) Glover of  Alabama, Tonya Renea (husband Kerry) Jones of Mt Vernon, IL; and Angela (husband Greg) Jack of Carbondale, IL; a brother Ray Poore of Michigan, and special friends:  Donna Ahlfeld and Kelly Clark, both of Benton, IL.  Eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Julia Ann Metheney will be held on Friday, May 27th, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Burial will be at Old Springer Cemetery near McLeansboro.

Memorials may be made to the Julia Ann Metheney Fund and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of the arrangements.
