Melanie Featherly

Melanie Featherly, 61, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her home in Belmont, North Carolina.

She was born May 7, 1957 in Terre Haute, Indiana to William Henry and Nancy Carole (Armes) Featherly.  She was a home maker and an avid people person, Melanie enjoyed talking and spending time with her friends, family and neighbors.

Melanie is survived by her father, William Henry Featherly of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama; mother, Carole Featherly of Belmont, NC; son, Ray William Bowman of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; daughter, Anna Melina Foster of Loudon, TN; and brother, Stephen Kent Featherly of Belmont, NC.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Damian Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.  She will be laid to rest at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
