Mona Weaver, 88, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at her home in McLeansboro, Illinois.
She was born April 8, 1930 in Hamilton County, IL the daughter of Robert Franklin and Hazel Bell (Adams) Ballard. She was a home maker and farm wife and was a member of the Pleasant Union Congregational Christian Church near McLeansboro.
Mona is survived by her husband, Harl Weaver of McLeansboro; daughter, Angela M. (Jay) Vineyard of McLeansboro; grandchildren: Jeremiah (Bridgette) Weaver, Aaron (Jamie) Weaver, Kizzy (Jeff) Richards, Silas Vineyard and Kaylene Weaver; great grandchildren: Kimberlyn Weaver, Easson Weaver, Zacariah Weaver, Jaron Weaver, Elizabeth Weaver, Hannah Hart and Hayden Hart; brothers, Edward Lee and Curtis Ballard, both of Peoria, IL. Also surviving are several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters, one son, Jerome Kim Weaver; and one daughter, Harlena Kay Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Robert Abbott officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. She will be laid to rest at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
