Phyllis Ann Giles

Phyllis Ann Giles, 82, of Denton, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Tx.  She was born February 13, 1937 in Benton, IL the daughter of Carlton and Ruby (Morris) Hunt. 

She was a retired school teacher.  Phyllis began teaching in a one room school house in the rural Ozarks of Arkansas in 1962 and concluded her career as a Spanish teacher at Highland Park High School.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Bradley (Charlotte) Giles of Denton, TX; grandson, Stephen (Katie) Giles; granddaughter, Sarah Giles; great-grandchild, Stephen Henry Giles; and brother, Carl Hunt of Benton Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles Giles.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery with Stephen Giles officiating.
