Ruth Woods

Ruth Woods, 77, a resident of McLeansboro, Illinois passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt, Vernon, Illinois.  

She was born July 28, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Rector and Tilly (Frost) Bailey.  Ruth married Philip Wayne Woods on November 30, 1990 and he survives.  In life she worked as a cashier for Walmart in Ponca, Oklahoma for fifteen years. 

Ruth is survived by her husband, Philip Wayne Woods of McLeansboro, IL; three daughters: Mitzi Higgins of Abilene, Kansas, Becky Keen of Salina, Kansas and Kimberly Granger of Liberty, Texas; a grandson raised by the family, Trevor Philip Woods, 16 other grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, one sister-in-law and one son.

There will be no local services and a final family gathering will be held at a later date in Wellington, Kansas.
