Alice Ann Moreland, 92, a resident of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
She was born August 4, 1928 in Central City, IL, the daughter of Dan G. and Edna Leona (Meadors) Bryan. Alice was a home maker and care giver and also worked for the Olin Company in Alton, IL for 16 years. She also attended the McLeansboro First Baptist Church. She married Harold Lyle Moreland and he preceded her in death.
Alice is survived by her daughter Dianne and companion Warren Walker Roberson of Mt. Vernon, IL; four grandchildren: Jason and wife Jennifer Kuhn, Brian and wife Jody Kuhn, Chad and wife Brittani Valentine and Shawn and companion Tina Roberson; five great grandchildren: Jacob Kuhn, Maddi Valentine, Alec Valentine, Ellie Valentine and Karter Valentine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary Kuhn; three brothers: Louie, Carrol and Kenny Bryan; and one sister Fern Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Matt Griswold officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, September 26 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Alice will be laid to rest in the Veterans Section of the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro. For those attending the service, social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are required.
Memorial donations may be made to the Connexion of Mt. Vernon and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home.
