Betty Ruth Fowler

Betty Ruth Fowler, 78, a resident of Griffith, Indiana and formerly of Macedonia, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Betty was employed at Omega Steel in Griffith.  She was the owner of Smitty’s Tree Service, and Betty loved baking her delicious homemade bread for family and friends.

She is survived by her son Craig (Sandy) Fowler; grandchildren: Chad Fowler, Andy Fowler, Sarah Fowler, Kristina (Tim) King, and Steffany (John) Hauenstein; great grandchildren: Andrea Fowler, Margaret and Chloe King, Maleah and Gabriel Johnson, and Isabella and Alexander Hauenstein. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Golda Park, husband Clark Fowler, son Charles, and by her sister Wanda Park.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Macedonia Cemetery in Macedonia, IL.  Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Highland First Church of the Nazarene.
