Bobby Gene “Bob” Little, 79, a resident of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Mt. Vernon Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
He was born May 8, 1938 in Karnak, Illinois to Earl and Etta (Shreves) Little. Bob was a retired insurance salesman having worked for Metropolitan Life, Prudential Life and Horace Mann Insurance Companies. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was also a retired auctioneer.
Bob is survived by his wife, Faye Little of McLeansboro, IL, and his son, John Robert (Dayna Hartley) Little of Centralia, IL. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill Little and Edwin Little; and three sisters, Evelyn Brown, Verla Hewitt and Flo Riekling.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
