Bruce Miller, 59, of Mt. Vernon, IL and originally of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Axiom Healthcare of Mount Vernon in Mt. Vernon, IL. Bruce was born on January 2, 1965 in McLeansboro to Charles Robert Miller & LaDonna (Swafford) Miller.
Over the years, Bruce met many wonderful people who provided excellent care at the Bowen Center in Harrisburg, IL; Choate Mental Health in Anna, IL; the Murray G. Warren Center in Centralia, IL; and the CILA Home through Trade Industries in McLeansboro. He loved his Momma and Daddy dearly, they were his favorite people in the world. Bruce was always joyful and he had a great sense of humor.
Bruce is survived by his mother LaDonna Miller of McLeansboro, a brother Brad (Pam) Miller of McLeansboro, 2 sisters: Bev (Buddy) Vaught of Carmi, IL and Becky (Bob) Cross of McLeansboro, an aunt Sue Patkes of Springfield, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Robert Miller, a brother Bryan Miller, maternal grandparents Matthew & Virginia Swafford, paternal grandparents Andy & Dora Miller, a nephew Landon Cross, 2 aunts: Margaret Workman and Brenda Claybrooke, and 2 uncles: Andrew Miller Jr. and Ronnie Claybrooke.
Funeral services for Bruce Miller will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Fr. Gregory Ogbenika officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Gholson Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery in McLeansboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trade Industries, and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
