David Allan Zarek

David Allan Zarek, 62, of Mcleansboro, IL passed away at his home on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

David was born February 24, 1959 in Chicago, IL the son of Robert Zarek & Lois May (Speerless) Zarek.  On Aug 21, 1991 David married Linda Marie (McInerney) Zarek, who survives.

David worked as a photographer for Photochrome Photography for 25 years and also worked as a wedding photographer.  He was of the Catholic faith.  He loved the Chicago Cubs, gardening, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.  He loved his dogs Iggy & Mac.  He was a loving husband, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his wife Linda Marie Zarek of McLeansboro, brother Mike Zarek of McLeansboro, 2 sisters: Roxanne Ritcheson of McLeansboro and Sherri Zarek of Wisconsin, niece Sarah Ritcheson of McLeansboro, 2 nephews: John Ritcheson, Jr. of Fairview Heights, IL and Christopher Zarek of Chicago, IL and a brother in law John Ritcheson, Sr. of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Lois Zarek and a nephew Michael Trushka.

In accordance with David’s wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
