Edna Ann (Hanley) Burrow, 79, of McLeansboro, IL passed away at her home on Friday, October 25, 2024. Edna was born on March 6, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Edward & Lucille Hanley. On May 17, 1964 she married Philip Nolan Burrow Sr., who preceded her in death.
Edna had worked as a waitress, was a homemaker, and was an assistant at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro for several years. Her family was the most important part of her life. She had a heart of gold, and she had a kind soul. She was a devout Christian, and her faith was a big part of her life.
Edna is survived by 3 children: Dawn (Doug) Bayer of St. Peters, MO; Tammy (Clarence Jr.) Martin of Carmi, IL and Philip Nolan Burrow Jr. of Paddock Lake, WI; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, a brother Edward Hanley of Canton, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Lucille Hanley, her husband Philip Nolan Burrow Sr., a daughter Sherri Ann Webber, a son James Lawrence Burrow, and a brother Michael Hanley.
Funeral services for Edna Ann (Hanley) Burrow will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Rod Joplin officiating. A private family visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and then a public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at Shedd Cemetery in McLeansboro.
