Gary L. Eckleberry

Gary L. Eckleberry, 55, a resident of Arab, Alabama and formerly of McLeansboro, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Olean General Hospital in Olean, New York.

He was born May 16, 1963 in Fairfield, IL to Thomas and Dorothy (Orr) Eckleberry.  Gary worked as an installer for Cell-Pak Services in Decatur, Alabama.

Gary is survived by his mother, Dorothy Eckleberry of McLeansboro;  separated wife, Ruthie Eckleberry of Arab, AL; companion, Amy Davies of Arab, AL; son, Joshua (Cassandra) Eckleberry; daughters, Francesca Eckleberry and Ashley (Andrew) Hudson, all of Arab, AL; brother, Joseph (Kim) Eckleberry of McLeansboro; sisters, Bonnie Hutchison of Springerton, IL and Arlene Gunter of Louisville, IL; step-son, Damion Davies of Arab, AL and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Jonah Eckleberry; nephew, Nicholas Eckleberry; and step-son, Chris Davies.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Curtis Rush officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, August 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.  He will be laid to rest at Old Springer Cemetery near McLeansboro.
