Georgine Isabelle (Hinks) Goldman

Georgine Isabelle (Hinks) Goldman, 89, of Bonnie, IL and formerly of Wayne City, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her home in Bonnie.  Georgine was born near Mahanoy City, PA on December 24, 1935 to Albert & Dorothy Hinks.  On August 6, 1954 she married Herman Dale Goldman, who preceded her in death.

Georgine had worked in the packaging department at the Williamson’s picture frame factory in Wayne City.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Georgine is survived by 3 daughters: Donna (Joe) Skimmiehorn of Hope Mills, NC; Carol (Steve) Behn of Bonnie, IL; and Beverly (Albert) Overby of Bonnie; 2 sons: David (Ruby) Goldman of Bluford, IL and James Goldman of Iuka, IL; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister Elizabeth Koch of Meridian, MS; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Dorothy Hinks, her husband Herman Dale Goldman, 2 grandchildren: Paul Poracky and Michael Wood, and a sister Karen Sweet.

In accordance with her wishes, Georgine’s body will be cremated an no formal services will be held at this time.  A private family burial ceremony will be held in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro or may be made online in Georgine’s memory.
