Iris Fae Richards

Iris Fae Richards, 79, of Belle Rive, Illinois went to be with her Savior Saturday, November 30, 2019 in the house where she was born.

She was born August 19, 1940 in Belle Rive, IL, the daughter of Frank and Madge (Carlton) Marlow.  Iris married Paul E. Richards August 14, 1958 in the same house.  Iris was a homemaker and babysat in her home for many years. Iris also cooked at Wilkey's Cafe.  Her hobbies were gardening, flowers, and camping.  She loved being with her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years.

Iris is survived by her husband Paul of 61 years; son, Frankie (Ladonna) Richards of Dahlgren, IL; daughter, Paula (Steve) Brinkman of Mansfield, TX; son Kevin (Kim) Richards of Dahlgren, IL; seven grandchildren: Carmen (Dave) Wiggins; Brandon Brinkman; Stacy (Nathan) Taylor; Clint (Sydney) Richards; Brent Brinkman; Cody (Jonlee) Richards; Kaden Richards. Five great-grandchildren; Stella, Grant, Sylas, Lucy, Kenzie.  Sister in law, Joan Clark; brother in law Gene (Carleen) Richards; brother in law Dennis (Colleen) Richards; sister in law Janet (Donald) Scrivner.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Everett Bolen; in laws Noel and Goldie Richards; sister, Barbara Wilkey; brother in law, Donald Wilkey; brother in law, Pete Clark; sister in law Carol Richards; sister in law Joyce Richards.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, IL.  Pastor Jeremy Hamson will be officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2019 at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church.  Iris will be laid to rest in the Flint-Belle Rive Cemetery.  

Iris would say, "Weeell.....don't make a big fuss over me I'm where I need to be.”
