Joy Sue (Munsell) Webb, 87, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at her home. Joy was born on October 12, 1937 in Hamilton County, IL to Thurman Munsell and Theresa (Wheeler) Bluett.
Joy worked as a CNA for Hamilton Memorial Hospital, and then spent many years working at McLeansboro Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed bowling, and she was a former member of the Hamilton County Queen Pins bowling team. She enjoyed watching old Westerns, dancing, and listening to music. She especially loved Elvis Pressley songs. She loved her grandchildren very much.
Joy is survived by her son Joseph Dale Webb Jr. of McLeansboro; a daughter Jacqueline (Jeff) Campbell of Opdyke, IL; 4 grandchildren: Joseph Dale Webb III of McLeansboro; Erica (Dustin) McCormick of McLeansboro; Charles (Heather) Webb of Eldorado, IL; and Derek (Michaela) Campbell of Clinton, IA; 6 great-grandchildren: Allaina (Jaden) Trotter, Adalynn McCormick, Liam Wolfe, Estel Dale McCormick, Mila Webb, and Maihaleigh Browning; 2 half-sisters: Patty (Ron) Hartline of McLeansboro and Vickie (Gary) Williams of Mobile, AL; and 2 half-brothers: Ivor Patterson of McLeansboro and Mike Patterson of Dale, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thurman Munsell and Theresa Bluett, her husband Joseph Dale Webb Sr., and a brother Thurman “Mutt” Munsell.
In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated and there will be no formal services at this time. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
