Obituary

Lois Jean Cox, 84, of Grayville, IL passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Lois was born June 11, 1937 in Beaver Creek Township, IL the daughter of Floyd A. Prince & Helen Virginia Prince.  She had previously worked as a seamstress at the Elder Manufacturing Shirt Factory in Mcleansboro, IL and as a dish washer at the Country Cafe.  She previously attended the Independent Bible Baptist Church in McLeansboro.  She loved playing bingo, at the American Legion Post 696 in Grayville, IL.  She enjoyed spending time visiting family & friends.

Lois is survived by a son Allen (Mary) Cox of McLeansboro, 2 granddaughters: Michelle Rose of Rosiclare, IL and Christina Karnes of Broughton, IL; a grandson Jeramy Rector of Broughton, 3 great-grandchildren: Camilla Anne Rose, Braden Rose, and Honey Rose, a sister Louise Campbell of McLeansboro, and a son-in-law Bobby Rector of Broughton.

She was preceded in death by both parents Floyd & Helen Prince, her husband Alva Lowell Cox, a daughter Robbie Jean (Cox) Rector, 2 brothers: Ronnie Prince and Larry Prince, and a sister Delores Schimming.

There will be no formal services for Lois Jean Cox at this time.
