Margaret Irene (Richardson) Bowers

Margaret Irene (Richardson) Bowers, 74, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at her home in McLeansboro. Margaret was born on August 14, 1951 in New Haven, IL to Lewis & Rata (Carney) Richardson.

Margaret had worked for Bombardier in Benton, IL as a fiberglass fabricator. She loved flowers and gardening, canning, and sewing. She enjoyed visiting with her family and she loved her grandchildren very much.

Margaret is survived by 3 children: Lori (Brad) Reynolds, Rita (Derrick) Hanson, and Tim Scott; 4 grandchildren: Dylan (Arin) Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Makenzie (Dalton) Chappo, and Natalie Reynolds: 1 great granddaughter Izzy Taylor and 2 more great grandchildren on the way; 1 brother Jim Richardson, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis & Rata Richardson and 4 brothers: Doyle Richardson, Donnie Richardson, Kenny Richardson, and Curt Richardson.

A graveside memorial service for Margaret Irene Bowers will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Asbury Cemetery near Ridgway, IL with Pastor Rick Floyd officiating. Those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
