Marilyn Maughan Obituary

Marilyn Lavern (Frymire) Maughan, 78, a long time resident of Carmi, Illinois passed away at Hamilton Memorial Hospital on January 23, 2021 after her battle with cancer.

She was born August 26, 1942 in Emma Township, White County, Illinois to Loren Morris Frymire and Buelah Murel Sanders, who preceded her in death. Marilyn wasa retired Certified Nurse Assistant.

She is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Shellenburg) McVay of Carmi, Illinois and Presha (Shellenburg) Russell of Silver Springs, Florida; five brothers: Thomas Wayne (Diana) Frymire of New Whiteland, Indiana, Kevin Lee Brand of Fairfield, Illinois, Lee Marion (Naomi) Frymire of Evansville, Indiana, John Leonard Frymire of Carmi and Marion Lee Frymire of Carmi, Illinois and one sister Vonda Lou "Frymire" Sturgil of Springerton, Illinois. Two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step children, two step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph C. Maughan; three brothers: John Morris Frymire, Loren Murel Frymire, Allan Duane Brand and four sisters: Loretta Fern Frymire, Daisy Marie Frymire, Brenda Kay "Frymire" Berry and Connie Lee Frymire.
