Mary A. (Herschberger) Gingerich

Mary A. Gingerich, age 73, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.  She was the daughter Andy & Rosa Herschberger.

On September 21, 1972 she married Ivan Gingerich in Kokomo, Indiana.  They shared just over 52 and a half years of marriage.  She was a member of the Dale, IL Amish Church.

Mary is survived by her husband Ivan Gingerich, son Jonathan (Lucinda) Gingerich, daughter Irene (Philip) Chupp, daughter Louella (Gary) Bontrager, son Henry Gingerich, son Benjamin (Naomi) Gingerich, daughter Leona Gingerich, brother Eugene Herschberger, brother Emory (Ida) Herschberger, brother Raymond (Kathryn) Herschberger, brother Andy (Barbara Ann) Herschberger, Jr., brother Lloyd (Darlene) Herschberger, sister Irene Herschberger, sister Elsie (Roger) Herschberger and sister-in-law Ruth Herschberger.  Twenty-three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rosanna Gingerich, infant son Daniel Gingerich, brother Freeman Herschberger and sister-in-law Edna Mae Herschberger.

Funeral services for Mary A. Gingerich will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Hadley Creek Covers in Dale, IL with Bishop Joseph Chupp officiating.  Viewing hours will be held on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 9th, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hadley Creek Covers in Dale.  Burial will take place immediately following the funeral on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Oak Valley Cemetery in Dale, IL.  Per family request, it is not necessary to send flowers for the services.
