Melbalene "Melba" Rhine

Melbalene “Melba” Rhine, 66, of McLeansboro, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home in McLeansboro with family by her side.  She was born in McLeansboro on September 16, 1958 to William Estill Drew & Ruth (Wheat) Drew. 

She worked for Russell Oil Company for 25 years.

Melba is survived by her husband, Ricky J. Rhine, of McLeansboro; her brother, Jimmy Travis Perez, of McLeansboro; her daughter, Rebeca Renee Klein, of Spokane, WA; and her sister-in-law, Janet (Rhine) Barker and husband Mike of McLeansboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Jewell “Judy” Smith and Evelyn Cauldwell; and brother, Roger Perez.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
