Roland Akin Obituary

Roland F. Akin, 66, a resident of Buckner, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL.

He was born June 10, 1953 in Houston, TX to Rowland and JoAnn (Crane) Akin. Roland was a United States Army Veteran and a retired carpenter.

Roland is survived by five sons: David A. (fiancé Haleigh) Akin of Mt. Vernon, IL, Hayden Akin of Belle Rive, IL, Andrew Akin of Centralia, IL, Roland “Charlie” Grabowski of Dallas, TX and Stephen Akin of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Julia Rodgers of Colorado Springs, CO; and one brother, Brent Akin of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
