Ronald Lee “Ron” Perryman, 72, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born May 23, 1952 in McLeansboro to Billy & Jane Roberta Perryman, both of whom proceeded him in death.
Ron worked as a truck driver. He loved to talk and visit with people. He enjoyed visiting and eating at the Farris Family Restaurant in McLeansboro. He was a member of the McLeansboro Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #1882.
Ron is survived by his brother John Perryman (and wife Karen) of McLeansboro; aunt Eulah Walden of Bethalto, IL; two nephews: Ryan Perryman (and wife Stefanie) of Belleville, IL and Aaron Perryman of Dahlgren, IL; two great-nieces: Grace Perryman and Reese Perryman of Belleville, IL; and one great-nephew: Cole Perryman of Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father Billy Eugene Perryman, mother Jane Roberta Roberson, and brother Charles Eugene Perryman.
In accordance with Ron’s wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services will be held. A private family burial of ashes at Pleasant Grove Cemetery west of McLeansboro will take place at a later date.
Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro is assisting the family with cremation.
