Sandra Yvonne Lenard

Sandra “Yvonne” Lenard, 78, of Alamogordo, NM, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026 in McLeansboro, IL, with her husband of 60 years by her side.

She was born in Eldorado, IL on August 2, 1947 to Elza & Marian Faye Tucker.  On September 25, 1965, she married Bill Lenard, who survives. 

Yvonne had previously worked in the Hamilton County Courthouse in McLeansboro as a clerk in the Treasurer’s office during her high school years for her good friend, Velma Sims who was the Treasurer.  She also worked as a food services director, and secretary and treasurer of 5 different Assembly of God churches along with her husband who served as Pastor of the churches.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.  She adored her grand-babies and great grand-babies.

She is survived by her husband: Bill Lenard, daughter: Geavonna Raychelle Bryant and husband Mark, two grandchildren: Joshua and Kasi, seven great-grandchildren, step-daughter: Kay Ward and husband Tony, four step-grandchildren: Joey, Kevin, Jennifer, and Jessica, and sister: Crystal Calvano and husband Nick.  Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elza & Marian Faye Tucker, son William Ray Lenard, and grandson Andy Bryant.

Per Yvonne’s wishes, her body will be cremated and a memorial service and scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
