Sidney Dale Lenington

Sidney Dale Lenington, 76, of Raleigh, IL passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.  Sidney was born on May 15, 1947 in Waltonville, IL to Nolan & Maxine (Panzier) Lenington. 

Sidney had previously worked as a farmhand and was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ in McLeansboro, IL.  He loved fishing and going out on his boat.  He enjoyed hunting, sitting around the campfire, going to drag races, and spending time with family and friends.

Sidney is survived by his fiancé Rhonda Yother of Raleigh, IL; a son Scott Lenington of Bonnie, IL; 2 step daughters: D’Lisa Williams & husband Michael of Eldorado, IL; Madison Yother of Eldorado, IL; 3 step sons: Preston Yother of Eldorado, IL; Duran Yother of Eldorado, and Timothy Yother & fiancé Regina House of Harrisburg, IL; 9 grandchildren: Timothy Lenington & fiancé Samantha Warner, Kaitlyn Gresham & husband David, Mariyaha Fann, D’anna Williams, Bailey Williams, Delaney Williams, Peyton Williams, Glendalyn Fann, and Austin Fann; 9 great grandchildren, a sister Glenda Chastain of Sesser, IL; several nephews, and a close cousin Mike Nadolski.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nolan & Maxine Lenington, and a grandson Andrew Joseph Lenington.

In accordance with Sidney’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
