Stacie L. Velez

Stacie L. Velez, 44, of Lewistown, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 20, 2019.

Born May, 28, 1974 in Tuscola, Illinois, she was the daughter of Fred and Frances “Ann” Lauderback Aumiller of Lewistown, Pennsylvania and Rex Thode of Tennessee.  Stacie attended school in Arcola, IL until 1989 and was a graduate of Lewistown High School in 1993.  She was employed as a Medical Assistant at Holy Spirit Hospital, Consentra and numerous medical facilities in the Harrisburg area.

Stacie will be remembered and missed by her loving children, Addison and Kayla Velez of Lewistown, PA; maternal grandmother, Joan (Ruphard) Lauderback of Tuscola, IL; and half brother, Aric Thode of Tennessee. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Homer Lauderback; maternal grandparents, Richard and Laura Thode; and her special cousin, Ryan Monfort.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gholson Cemetery near Broughton, IL with Rev. Robert Sefried officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
