Stephen Wayne Murdach

Stephen Wayne Murdach, 76, a resident of McLeansboro, IL passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at his home.

He was born January 21, 1944 in Enfield, IL to his parents Kenneth and Marie Murdach.  Stephen was an oil field worker for several years and later worked as a tire builder and retired from Continental/General Tire in Mt. Vernon, IL.  He was a member of the McLeansboro Golf Club, and a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church in McLeansboro.

Stephen is survived by his wife Stacey (Johnson) Murdach of McLeansboro, 2 sons: Greg (Donna) Murdach of Bluford, IL and David (Annie) Murdach of DuQuoin, IL; 7 daughters:  Lisa (Todd) Cottle of Colorado, Lisa Martin (Dylan Browning) of McLeansboro, Heather Martin of McLeansboro, Mari (Jason) Kirsch of McLeansboro, Teri Martin of McLeansboro, Lacey Martin (Dereck Johnson) of McLeansboro, and Megan Martin (Matt Duncan) of McLeansboro; 2 brothers: Jerry (Jane) Murdach of Enfield and Larry Murdach of Arizona, 22 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Ronald Murdach.

Funeral Services for Stephen Wayne Murdach will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with Rev. Gary Davenport officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery in McLeansboro.
