Virginia Aline (Hutcheson) Erwin

Virginia Aline (Hutcheson) Erwin, 77, of Dale, IL passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL.

Virginia was born on December 2, 1943 at her family’s home in Dale, IL to Harrison & Norabelle (Lemay) Hutcheson.  On November 28, 1962 she married Carl Erwin, who preceded her in death.

Virginia had previously worked in Elder Care by helping out Senior Citizens in their homes and helping with housekeeping.  She was a member of the Dale Christian Church in Dale, IL.  She enjoyed watching Westerns, going to yard sales, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Virginia is survived by a daughter Carla (Robert) Anderson, a son DeWayne (Deanna) Erwin, 6 grandchildren: Bethaney (Seth) Hubbard, Cory (Breanna) Anderson, Ethan Erwin, Levi Erwin, Shawn Anderson, and Shannon (Victoria) Anderson, 11 great grandchildren, a brother Jerry (Lisa) Hutcheson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Carl Erwin, 2 sisters: Mary Uselton and Annabelle Williams, and a brother Jr. Hutcheson.

Funeral services for Virginia Aline (Hutcheson) Erwin will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, IL with Pastor Andy May officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at Digby Cemetery in Dale, IL.
