William David Burkes

William David Burkes, 44. a resident of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

He was born in West Covina, California on May 6, 1975, the son of Joe and Jean (Burkes) Jackson.  He was a member of the International Laborers Union Local 1197 in McLeansboro.

William is survived by his mother, Jean Lowe of McLeansboro, IL; two sons: Gavin Wayne Cross of McLeansboro, IL and Aage David Burkes of Marion, IL; two daughters: Jacinda Marie Cross and Grace Ann Burkes, both of McLeansboro; two brothers: Joe Dale Jackson of McLeansboro, IL and Tony Dee Jackson of Valier, IL; four sisters: Dianna Sue Jackson of Christopher, IL, Shyla Ann Wagner of Marion, IL, Brandy Lee Wagner of McLeansboro, IL and Angela Louise Wagner of McLeansboro, IL.  Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, one son, Jaxson Kawliga Burkes; one niece and one nephew.
