Harold Eugene Holdren

Harold Eugene Holdren, 90, a resident of Dale, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital.  

He was born January 28, 1927 in Wabash, Indiana to James H. and Nelda (Pratt) Holden.  He married Anna Lee Irvin on June 21, 1952 and she survives.  Harold was a United States Navy Veteran having served during WW II.  A retired farmer, he was also a member of the Carmi VFW and the Dale Pentecost Church.  

Harold is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Holdren; brothers, Melvin (Pat) Holdren of Dale, IL and Darrell (Carol) Pratt of Orange Park, FL; and brother-in-law, Vores York of Fairfield, IL.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Dale, Paul, Joe and Ted; and one sister, Kathleen York.

Funeral services for Harold Holdren will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dale Pentecost Church with the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.  Interment will follow at the Digby Hill Cemetery with graveside military rites performed by American Legion Post 141.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Dale Pentecost Church.
