John W. Laux

John W. Laux, 79, formerly of McLeansboro, IL,  passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 at the DuQuoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in DuQuoin, IL.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 19, 1937 to John Henry and Blanche (McNiel) Laux.  He was a retired Horse trainer.

Survivors include one daughter, Nicole Laux of Collinsville, IL; one grandchild, several cousins and special friend, Sharon Terry of DuQuoin, IL.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gholson Cemetery near Broughton, IL.  There will be no formal visitation and those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the donors choice and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro and at the cemetery.

The Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
