Ruby (Meade) Thomas

Ruby Thomas, age 94, a resident of Chatham, IL and formerly of McLeansboro, IL passed away at 1:28 pm on Monday, July 13th, 2015 at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

She worked as the manager of a jewelry store in Michigan and later worked as an inspector at the former Elder Mfg. Company in McLeansboro and was a member of the McLeansboro First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Willis Meade & Lela Jo (Gaddy) Meade, her husband J.T. Thomas, and a brother Bob Meade.

She is survived by a son Dick (wife Bonnie) Thomas of Hazelwood, MO; and a daughter Sharon (husband Bob) Harbour of Springfield, IL;  and 3 grandchildren:  Amber Lynde of Florissant, MO; Kris Robinson of Ballwin, MO; and Eric Robinson of Newberry, FL.  Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren:  Brylie, Arissa, Alana, and Braxton.  

Funeral services for Ruby Thomas will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 18th, 2015 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Mark Byars officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm Saturday until the time of service.

Burial will be at the Ten Mile Cemetery near McLeansboro.
