Dearest Shirles as she called herself. We met a few times in Norris City, and talked on the phone and via the internet. Hadnt talked to her in three or four years, since I've gotten to the age when I no longer travel....85 years old. So dear Shirley, we will meet again someday if the good Lord is willing. Blessed be you, your friends in Florida, Richard and Rita Hardesty

Ms. Payne was one of my favorite teachers at KHS and peaked my interest in Journalism and Photography. My condolences to her family and friends.

"Shirls" was not only a cousin at least two ways, we found out, but a really good friend. We did many things together. We shared a love of many things, especially a love of animals, cats most of all. I wished that we could have gotten together so you could have met Robert, but we will meet again. Shirley, you will be missed. Love, prayers, and condolences to the family. We sure wish we could be there, but are there in spirit. Shirley, say hello to Rameses and OJ for us. We love you.
